I want results, but I won’t do that
Have you ever used the excuse, I don’t have time? I know I have, on more than one occasion. Let me break this down in simple terms as to why we do it.
Now this can be applied to any walk of life, but in my line of work, it’s in the top two excuses prospected clients use when the pain of their current situation isn’t greater than the desire to change, so committing to what’s involved in dropping weight, getting fit and toning up, simply isn’t a priority.
…and that’s it.
We all have things on, we all have busy schedules, between kids, family, work, social events and the logistics of it all.
And it’s getting worse not better.
So it’s down to us to decide what’s important to us and what we value, and to prioritise it, especially if we want to achieve fantastic results.
In my view your health is number one, yes more than family, why?
Because if you are sick, miserable, incapacitated or in any way not your best self, who do you think is going to suffer alongside you…?
Your loved ones.
On the flip side…
Who do you think is going to benefit alongside you, when you are the best, happiest, fittest, most confident version of yourself?
Yup, you got it, your loved ones.
I’ve been sad, I’ve been stressed, I’ve been anxious, I’ve been grumpy and I still am those things from time to time.
One thing I know for sure, is the healthier and leaner I am physically, the happier and more positive I am mentally.
This is no coincidence, with there being a direct link between your gut and your brain. Unhealthy gut = not so healthy brain, inclusive of thoughts, feelings, mood, anxiety and energy levels.
Treat your gut with care, as it is the gateway to a healthy happy life.
How?
It’s reasonably straight forward, take foods out of your diet that are causing you issues digestive issues, bloating, water retention, flatulence, stomach upsets, brain fuzz etc.
Fix your gut through feeding it good bacteria (pre and probiotics) while being consistent keeping the food culprits out (crucial). Then gradually introduce each food back into your diet, one by one after a 8-12 week period.
Not sure how to identify those foods? We are here to help to show you how.
Schedule a consultation here and we can help show you how to completely turn your health around in just 6 weeks, no matter what age, fitness level or time constraints…
You’re worth prioritising yourself for aren’t you?
Answer: YES
But we are terrible as humans for justifying our actions that give us an “out” for missing said workout or indulging in an off plan meal.
“Ah sure it’s a special occasion so eating cake is allowed” (any celebration)
Or
“there was no choice where I was eating so I had to have a McDonalds” (airport, restaurant)
Unfortunately I see this behaviour day to day.
I really want results, but I’m not quite willing to do what it takes to get them.
You see, results don’t come from doing something for a few weeks and stopping, then reverting back to what you were doing in the first place and expecting something to change.
Nope.
Change comes from committing to something, making the required sacrifices to get where you are wanting to go and going for it with every last bit of energy you have.
Initially it will be tough, really tough, but after a few weeks, it gets easier, a few months it’s a habit and a year or so, it becomes the norm. The big question is, are you ready to understand that there is no magic button that you can press or magic pill you can take to get you there.
It takes commitment, effort, actually a whole lot of effort and patience, as this is a marathon, a life time, not an end time that we are aiming to commit for. This is your health we are talking about, the most important thing you possess.
More often than not, it’s the people who accept their situation as one that they are responsible for that ultimately will achieve their goals. They have realised that playing the victim i.e. blaming everyone and everything else for their current circumstance is no longer worthwhile, so they decide to cut the BS and move forward and accept what it takes to change and ask for help.
The hard times are when people go out of their way to sabotage your progress, everyone else is eating that takeaway, or going for a night out drinking, or someone brings the chocolates into work, or the kids were having ice cream so you had to.. the list goes on.
The point is, these sacrifices are worth making until you are close to where you had said you wanted to get to in terms of goals and by all means, the ice cream, the drinks night out, the takeaway, can all be incorporated into your lifestyle successfully on maintenance calories.
The key is understanding the quality and quantity of calories your body needs to lose weight and then what it needs to stay the same. You can work out the quantity here.
And you can work out the quality here on our Complete Nutrition System™.
Once you have gotten out of your own way and take responsibility for your current situation, knowing the journey ahead, it makes embracing the process far easier and committing to change less scary and more real.
Don’t forget, I’m here to hold your hand and help in any way I can.
Have a great day.
